About

Welcome to my blog!

This travel blog site shares insights on travel planning, timeshare/hotel reviews, travel products, and much more.

My mother immigrated to America after her country (Lithuania) was taken during World War II.  What little relatives she had (that didn’t parish in Siberia or remain behind when it became part of the Soviet Union) were scattered as refugees across the globe.  Having such a background gave me a chance to travel to various countries and I haven’t stopped yet.  I began travelling even more in the early 90’s when I bought a timeshare and exchanged my weeks for the past 20 years all over the world.

Educated as an engineer and a Project Manager, I’m not yet ready to retire from my career in industry.  Melding my passion for travelling with keeping things organized and easier to navigate, is what I hope to share through this blog.  I called my blog “Unconquered Earth” because I feel that no matter how small the earth is becoming with the level of communications, human population growth, etc., there will always be more to see or learn about our planet.  I’ve only been to a few dozen countries (and counting).  But I’m not done yet.  Hope you’ll enjoy sharing the ride with me!

Just remember the famous quote: “Living on Earth is expensive, but it does include a free trip around the sun every year.”  – Unknown
